In this weeks combined science lessons year 9 learned everything about our circulatory system. How do our cells respire? How does the oxygen go into the blood? Why does the heart need its own arteries and what's coronary heart disease? Each year the Parents & Friends committee organises our ISN "Wandertag" (hike). This is a wonderful opportunity for ISN families (both old and new alike) and staff to spend some time together in nature. ISN held its First Annual Swimming Carnival on Thursday, 30th March, 2017. Reception to Year 5 competed in heats of up to four learners per heat, and medals in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place were given during an afternoon assembly.The event was fun and challenging for all involved. The best part about the swimming event was that students of all grades cheered each other on from the side-lines of the pool. Seven Year 3 students (and one Year 6 learner) attended a beekeeper presentation at the elderly peoples’ home across the street from the school on Wednesday, 29 March. At ISN this term Early Years has been working on a unit about occupations and Reception and Year 1 have been working on Transport. We were lucky enough to be able to arrange a visit from 569th US Forces Police Squadron, Vogelwah to our school which fitted in perfectly with both these units. On the 6th February Year 1, Reception and Early Years were lucky enough to have a day out at Frankfurt Airport!Year 1 and Reception are working on a transport UOI and Early Years are looking at different jobs so the trip was perfect.
