Year 1 Explores the World of Work

Our Year 1 learning partners have been busy exploring the World of Work as part of their Global Perspectives Unit. They’ve learned about different types of jobs - and also got to experience some up close! After their visits to the fire station and a hair salon, they headed to Kardiopraxis Neustadt, where Pierre - a valued member of our ISN family - showed them how the heart works and what he does as a doctor.

The kids took away so much from these visits! A huge thank you to Pier...

Secondary Learning Partners sharpening their Field Hockey Skills

Today was the third PE lesson focusing on field hockey, and some of our Learning Partners are really developing their core skill levels! They've been working hard on dribbling, passing, and stopping the ball, with a strong emphasis on accuracy over raw power. Today, we played a game, and it's amazing to see how much they've improved in such a short time in this demanding sport. Well done to the Year 6, 7, and 8 students! 👏🙌

Hands-On Science Fun: Exploring Density with Our Young Scientists! 🧪

Our Early Years and Reception Learning Partners had an exciting hands-on science lesson exploring density! ✨ They built a colorful density tower and tested different materials to see whether they would sink or float. 💡🔎

A huge shoutout to our incredible Year 6 Learning Partner, Ananya, for leading the lesson, with fantastic support from Tommy (Year 6) and Jakub (Year 7)! 👏👏

Learning is even more fun when we experiment, collaborate, and explore together...

Building Bridges and Strengthening Networks 🤝

One of the seven SBW Fractal Elements guiding our school culture is Connecting - expanding our networks, fostering real-world connections, and creating meaningful interfaces between ourselves and the environment.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of putting this element into action with Lothar Schmidt, Head of the @bvmwev district association in Landau, who visited ISN. A big thank you to Daniel Zacher, a valued member of the ISN community, for setting up this meeting. 🙌

Celebrating Women & Girls in Science! 🔬✨

Today, we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, marking 10 years of raising awareness that while progress has been made, the gender gap in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) still exists.

To mark this special occasion, we at ISN have engaging science sessions planned very soon, led by our Secondary Years learning partners and designed specifically for Primary Years learners. Lasting between 30 minutes and an hour, these sessions will ...

Kicking Off the Duke of Edinburgh Journey

The Duke of Edinburgh International Award (DofE) kicks off this term and our young learning partners are getting #worldready by developing their map reading and compass skills finely tuned. Well done to them all for a great start to the training.
The DofE is a globally recognized youth development programme designed to challenge and empower young people. It focuses on personal growth, leadership, and resilience through a structured framework. This fits perfectly with the SBW Future Skill...

Science in Action! 🧪🔥

The Year 2 learning partners were excited to kick off their new Science unit with a visit to the ISN lab. The lp’s were amazed as our SY mentor Andy demonstrated different solids, liquids and gases used to create various reactions. They especially loved seeing green fire! Our young scientists really had a “blast”!
