Book Week at ISN – What a Story! 📚

What an amazing week we’ve had celebrating all things books and reading at ISN! From start to finish, Book Week was packed with joy, connection, and lots of fun.

We kicked things off on Monday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in our library – the perfect way to launch a week full of activities that brought our whole school community together.

Tuesday was buzzing with excitement! Year 8 and 9 learning partners shared stories with Year 1 and 2, some of them even dropped everything and read 🙃, and Year 3 hosted a fantastic used book fair. It was a great day of reading, sharing, and plenty of smiles.

Midweek, our Year 11 learning partners read with Year 4 and 5, and Year 10 connected with Year 3 over some wonderful stories. We were also lucky to welcome David, one of our ISN parents, who read to our younger learners – such a special moment!

Later in the week, students enjoyed a magical puppet theatre performance of Superwurm by Dornerei – Theater mit Puppen. A big hit with our younger students (and their teachers too!).

Friday wrapped it all up perfectly – our final day was full of fun and imagination as learning partners and teachers dressed up as their favorite book characters. It was such a joy to see the creativity and love for books shining through in every corner of the school.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Book Week such a success – our students, staff, parents, and special guests. It was a week full of connection, creativity, and the kind of moments that make our community so special.
