ISN Resilience Challenge

Aligned with the SBW Future Skill Concept, ISN organised a Resilience Challenge at the Petz Boulderhalle Neustadt. Learning Partners were given a safe and encouraging environment to push their limits, face challenges head-on and celebrate their achievements. Each partner scaled the climbing walls tailored to their skills and took on the challenge with determination.
They all did great and enjoyed this experience.

Oh, what great fun it was to see all these wonderful costumes. 🦸‍♂️🦹‍♀️👑🐼🐔 Our dear parents and friends group organized an awesome event for our Primary Year learning partners with candy, music, dancing, and more fun activities. The kids had a blast! 🥳

Happy World Read Aloud Day!

Today, we celebrated the beauty of reading and storytelling. Parents took the time and read to our Primary Year learning partners in their native language. A heartfelt thank you to all parents who read to us. Your dedication and enthusiasm made this day a great experience. 👩‍👧‍👦
Reading aloud is so valuable because it creates connections, evokes emotions, enhances language skills, and fosters a deep appreciation for the written word.

LEGO Time: Building a sustainable future!

Recently, our Year 4 and 5 learning partners put their thinking skills to work as they designed a device to combat global warming. It was great to watch these young minds in action, immersing themselves in the world of sustainability.

Sustainability is one of the six future skills defined by SBW Haus des Lernens. It stands for refining the awareness of biological, technical, and social cycles.

POETRY DAY COMPETITION

The International School Neustadt (ISN) invites you to participate in the POETRY DAY COMPETITION as part of World Poetry Day on March 21, 2024. 🗓️

This year, we will focus on the theme of sustainability: Think circular, not linear! and encourage all students in grades 6-12 to submit a self-written poem in English or German on "Our Planet, Our Future" to participate in the POETRY DAY COMPETITION. 📝🌱

Inspiring lectures for the ISN team

Yesterday the ISN team had the privilege of meeting Christoph 'Bo' Bornhauser and attending two fascinating lectures. 📚✨ He shared insights on 'Children are Natural Born Learners' and addressed the topic of 'AI in education.' His explanations were super interesting, and we all walked away with valuable takeaways. A big thank you to you dear Bo for dedicating your time and sharing your expertise with us!

Winter Show

Time keeper, start the clock!

Our Year 2/3 learning partners hosted an engaging game show that was truly entertaining. Team Blue and Team Pink competed in four categories: Pictionary, Charades, Riddles, and Guess the Word. Each category highlighted different forms of communication, including pictures, words, actions, and listening. Fantastic job, everyone!

Future Skills Workshop

Our school had the privilege of hosting an enlightening training session focused on the SBW Haus des Lernens' Future Skills Concept and the EduScrum Method. The session was expertly led by Regula Immler, the Head of Future Skills at the Talent Campus Zürichsee.
We were delighted to warmly welcome representatives from other distinguished SBW learning houses such as IS Ruhr and IS Westpfalz, who joined us at ISN for this collaborative event.

Stone Age Workshop

Our learning partners from Year 6 to Year 8 were invited to an exciting Stone Age workshop with expert Norbert Hirschinger. Among other things, they learned how people in the Stone Age went about making useful tools. Our learning partners enjoyed the workshop very much.
