ISN Science Collaboration with Heidelberger Privatschulcentrum

The Year 6 students have been engaged in an exciting project for their unit of inquiry on media. Our central idea is “The media influences our thinking and decision-making”. The project follows the nuances of problem-based learning and student agency, along with some maths and language concepts such as money, discount, budget and persuasion.

Reception and Year 2 Apple Farm Trip

On Monday 2nd September, Reception and Year 2 went off to Landhaus Hilberth, where we spent a wonderful morning drinking freshly made apple juice and picking apples. Reception visited as part of their learning about the different seasons and Year 2 as part of their celebration of harvest. Personal Project and CAS exhibition

On Tuesday June 18, our years 7,8 and 9 Learning Partners (LP’s) exhibited their personal projects of the year. We also shared samples of CAS projects prepared by our IB students. SBW Haus des Lernens Omega 2019

Taiwanese delegation visits ISN

On 27th of February, 33 Taiwanese principals visited the ISN to learn about our unique learning concepts and to exchange ideas. Stuart Rich, our head of school, gave a presentation, which was much appreciated and discussed with our guests. Afterwards, Stuart, Jacques and Patrick took the visitors on a tour through our campuses. It was a pleasure having our Taiwanese visitors and to share our concept of pedagogy!

Christmas Market 2018

This past weekend we held our annual ISN Christmas Market Stall in Neustadt. Students worked hard preparing baked goods and crafts to be sold from Friday-Sunday. Having fun with solar energy

Not long ago, we received a donation of 44 solar car kits from TE-Connectivity, a big automotive components supplier located in Speyer. We are looking forward to integrate these cars within our curriculum and some of our students already got a head start, in having fun with this form of energy.Our school provides hands-on experiences in different fields of study, especially in the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
