Graduation 2018: Oh, The Places You’ll Go!

Year 5/6 Field Trip to Pirmasens

As part of their Unit of Inquiry on Forces and Motion, Years 5 and 6 recently had a field trip to the Dynamikum Science Centre, Pirmasens. There they completed some hands on activities which included making cars and rockets.

Years 3 and 4 BASF Field Trip

Year 3 and Year 4 went to BASF on Monday, March 5th to pursue further the unit of Inquiry “sharing the planet”. We have been learning about the use of scientific methods and this field trip was a great way to investigate the ways in which we use water.Learning Partners conducted three experiments: In one experiment, they found out that drinking water is lighter than sugar water and also salt water. ISN Yearbook Art Competition

There some very creative entries for the ISN Yearbook Art Competition. The judges Arvid, Jacques and Simon, decided on the two winners. In the Primary School Bavo was the winner and in the Secondary School Penelope won. The overall winner was Penelope’s composition featuring trainers. Well done to everyone who took part.

Winter Show

The final event for 2017 was the Winter Show, which was held on the last day of school before the Christmas Holidays. There was an entertaining mix of songs and dance presented by all primary school students. Congratulations to all participants for this fine performance and a special thank you to Aria for the hours of preparation and practice.

Units of Inquiry

Many classes are now working enthusiastically on their third Unit of Inquiry for the school year. Years 5 and 6 are learning about news media under the organizing theme How We Express Ourselves.
