πŸ“š Book week was so much fun! πŸŽ‰ Last week, we celebrated the importance of reading, books, authors, illustrators and readers. πŸ“šβœπŸ“–
A whole week filled with amazing activities for us and our learning partners! πŸ’« Among other things, we organized a scavenger hunt at Neustadt's public library, while the younger children did the same in our own library. πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ
We were also fortunate to have author Susanne Seider visit us and conduct a writing workshop with our Secondary students. She spoke about the process of writing, the challenges author's face and then got the group to come up with a story plot which they developed on the whiteboard. Learn more about her here: https://susanneseider.com/.πŸ–ŠοΈ
Meanwhile, the Primary kids met Kara Kootstra in an online session, where she read from her self-written book 'Bobby Orr and the Hand-me-down Skates'. πŸ“–
On Thursday, the Puppet Theater Dornerei visited us with their play 'Jochen der Schweinefant', and the children had so much fun! 🎭 It was fantastic! Check out their website for more: https://www.puppentheater-dornerei.de/.
On Friday, our learning partners dressed-up as their favourite book character and had the opportunity to parade in the Cafeteria. 🌟 From superheroes to wizards, the creativity was overflowing! πŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈπŸ§™β€β™€οΈ
